Wes grew up in rural Maryland close to the Chesapeake Bay enjoying hunting and fishing. He entered the United States Army as an Infantryman where he was exposed to several types of firearms, armor solutions and ammunition. Upon his separation from service, Wes sought out employment at the Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground. While employed at ARL, he conducted research and development tests that directly affected the readiness and protection level of allied forces in southwest Asia and beyond. Wes then had an opportunity to join the original and most respected independent ballistic laboratory in the world. While part of this team, he served in every position available within the laboratory gaining valuable knowledge and understanding the nuances associated with ballistic testing. While there he built great rapport among a large network of contacts within the industry. He also served on special technical committees that were responsible for authoring test specifications and procedures. Ultimately, Wes decided to move out on his own and leave the corporate structure and offer his expertise and drive as a self employed business owner. He currently provides ballistic advisory services for international and domestic clients.
